History of: Richardson & Associates, LLC.
My name is Sherri Richardson, the owner of Richardson & Associates, LLC. a CPA firm that provides auditing, accounting and grant writing services. I started my firm one exhausting night in 2007 after putting in the usual late hours at an impressive, multi-billion dollar corporation with which I was proud to have an affiliation. I was reflecting on my 22+ years of experience with, at that time, a Big Eight accounting firm and all the business successes I made for other companies over my career. I was reaching that metaphorical glass ceiling and thought to myself: "if I can do this for them, then I can do it for myself." After that night, just roughly six years ago, Richardson & Associates, LLC was born.
Richardson & Associates' services starts with the end goal in mind to strategically look for potential cost savings and revenue sources. In other words - I want to help organizations grow their revenue and become as cost effective as possible! Our customized business solutions have a requirement of excellence as the only criteria . If we can not achieve excellence, then we will not accept the client.
We utilize a holistic approach in providing all of our services. Armed with a bird’s eye view of the client’s entire financial operations and processes, we purposely look for ways to cut cost, improve operational processes and identify any gaps in revenue that may be missing based on their industry.
As clientele tripled, so did our team and partnerships. The firm currently has seven employees, numerous subcontractors, and several strategic business alliances. Our goal in staffing is to hire only the brightest and most technologically savvy accountants available. We only partner with companies that have the same attitude towards providing personable and excellence in customer service. I am excited about opening up a second location in Kenwood and the pending third office in the Over The Rhine area before the 2013 year end with a projected additional staffing need of around 15 - 25.
Our business approach is to become subject matter experts on our client’s industry and on their specific business goals. We are like no other, for example, we also connect our clients with business opportunities. We know that business, whether it is nonprofit or for profit, starts with relationships. We participate in community, corporate, and government business networking events and also stay abreast on current events. This is simplistic for the firm, since civic responsibility and giving back to the community have always been a family requirement growing up in Cincinnati, Ohio. Who would have thought that what I had to do growing up, and loved doing as well, would lead to business opportunities-- not just for me, but my clients as well. Thinking of creative ways to help our clients grow is our “niche”. I guess you can say, we are literally “Accounting for Your Success”®!
